Patriot's Day 2026 in Massachusetts includes the running of the Boston Marathon. We watched from our usual spot five miles from the start of the 26.2 mile race.
Diana was there in solidarity with "Natives Run." Diana works w/Kristen, who is Nipmuc.
Kristen is the manager of the P8guaso Rematriation Project (Nipmuc LandBack), where Diana volunteers. She ran this year to bring awareness of the 350th anniversary of when her people from Natick, who had been removed to Deer Island, were released. They had not been provided with any provisions over winter; ~50% of them died.
